IND vs AUS U19 WC Final HIGHLIGHTS: Australia beat India by 79 runs in the ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup final in Benoni to emerge as the champions. This is the second time in three months that Australia have got the better of India in a 50 overs final with the senior men's team also beating India in the ODI World Cup final in November 2023. In a clinical performance, Australia scored 253/7 after opting to bat first, before bowling the opposition out for 174 to complete a compehensive win.

The victory means Australia have managed to complete a rare quadruple. While the Men in Yellow beat India in the ICC World Test Championship final last year, they beat India in Ahmedabad in the titular contest of the ODI World Cup, they also won the ICC Women's T20 World Cup last year on South African soil before their championship winning victory over India in Benoni on Sunday (February 11).

Mahli Beardman, Raf MacMillan Architects Of Australia's U19 World Cup Win

Australian pacers Mahli Beardman, Raf MacMillan were the architects of Australia's U19 World Cup win over India in the summit clash. Both the speedsters picked 3 wickets apiece with Beardman removing three of the top four Indian batters including Uday Saharan and Musheer Khan both of whom finish as the first and the second leading run scorers of the tournament.

MacMillan, meanwhile, got rid of the middle-order batter to shatter hopes of any sort of recover after half-century from Harjas Singh (55 off 64), coupled with contributions from Hugh Weibgen, Harry Dixon and an unbeaten 46 from Oliver Peake helped Australia post 253/7. Indian pacers Raj Limbani and Naman Tiwari had shared five wickets between themselves too but that was not enough in a match where the Indian batters failed to deliver.

Adarsh Singh (47) top-scored for India while Murugan Abhishek chipped in with a 42 with latter's innings appearing more to be the kind of sorts which delayed the inevitable by a few overs and reduced the margin of India's defeat.
