Even though India have not yet sealed a place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final, the way they have played in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy so far make them the favourites to go on to win this Test series and bag a place in the summit clash which will be played at the Oval in June.

And seems like even captain Rohit Sharma has that finale at the back of his mind. When asked to express his views on the same, the Indian skipper said that if the hosts go on to win the third Test of the series starting in Indore on March 1, then they will try to do something different in Ahmedabad, keeping in mind the WTC final.

Meanwhile, the Indian opener also said that the form and fitness of somebody like a Shardul Thakur also becomes important for the team, if they play that all-important match in Oval as he provides a seam-bowling all-round option.

"There is definitely a possibility of that," Rohit told the media a day before the start of the third Test.

"We have already spoken about it. We need to get the guys ready for it. The important one is Shardul Thakur, because he comes into the planning for us.

We don't know how ready he is since he has just gotten married. We don't know how many overs he has bowled. But that thought process is definitely there. If we do what we do here and get the result we want, we might think of doing something different in Ahmedabad for sure," the 35-year-old added.

India are 2-0 ahead in the four-match series and have clinched both the Tests so far inside the first three days. The home team have played with three spinning options in this series which is highly unlikely to be the case in London.
