The Indian team started the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on a high as they outplayed Australia by innings and 132 runs in the series opener in Nagpur on Saturday. After winning the toss, the Kangaroos were restricted to 177 in the first innings, and in reply, India scored a staggering 400, before packing the visitors for 91 in the second innings.


Now that the game has shifted to New Delhi, the Indian team came up with a change in the squad after releasing Jaydev Unadkat to play for Saurashtra in the Ranji finals. The second Test is set to take place on Friday and there is another player who might be missing the second Test.


According to PTI, India's middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer is still recuperating from a back injury at National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru.  Earlier, Iyer shared a few videos where he was spotted training at the NCA under the supervision of trainer S Rajnikanth.






Earlier, the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy had ended within 3 days with the duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja scalping 16 of the 20 wickets. The second Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is all set to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi beginning on February 17.
