Practice makes a man perfect they said, despite that KL Rahul has been struggling to score runs in away Tests in 2018. Rahul had managed to score just one 50+ score in overseas Test, last year.

Despite many chances, backing from the team management and skipper Kohli, the Karnataka player threw away his wicket when he was looking good and got dismissed cheaply scoring just 9 runs during Day 1 of the 4th Test encounter between India and Australia in Sydney on Thursday.

The 26-year-old was out in his gear for batting practice few minutes after his poor dismissal in the final Test. Earlier, Rahul had done the same after the conclusion of the first Test between India and Australia at Adelaide. Unfortunately despite all the efforts, his dismal form in the red-ball cricket continues.

A good length delivery outside the off-stump by Aussie speedster Josh Hazlewood got a thick outside edge from Rahul's bat and went straight into the hands of Mitchel Marsh at first slip with India's score reading 10 runs.

Some exceptional batting effort helped India reach 224/3 on the first day of the fourth and final Test against Australia.
