India's wicket keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni added yet another record to his name when he stumped Kusal Mendis off the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja during India's World Cup encounter against Sri Lanka at Leeds.

Dhoni inflicted his eight stumping in World Cup Cricket and became the second most successful stumper in the mega cricket event's history.

Dhoni went past Adam Gilchrist (Australia), Moin Khan (Pakistan) and Mushfiqur Rahim (Bangladesh) who have seven stumpings each to their name at the World Cup.

Dhoni is now only behind former Sri Lankan wicket-keeper Kumar Sangakkara who made 13 stumpings in CWC history.

Dhoni who has drawn flak from critics for being relatively slow with his batting in crucial stages of India's World Cup encounters  has been brilliant behind the stumps for India at the showpiece event.
