The Virat Kohli and Co. were caught in a web at 99 for 4, just then, India reached the target in 48.2 overs, riding on a 141-run unconquered stand between Kedar and Dhoni (59 no off 72 balls), to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match ODI series against Australia.

Kedar Jadhav was adjudged the Man of the Match for taking a wicket and top-scoring with an 87-ball 81.

While appearing on fellow teammate Yuzvendra Chahal’s chat show ‘Chahal TV’, Jadhav gave credit to Dhoni for helping him to script a memorable chase.

“I follow whatever MS Dhoni tells me to do and I become successful. You should ask him how he figures out all these tricks that provide others an opportunity to get success and become more confident.” the 33-year-old said.

He added: “I told him that I am not afraid of anything or any target when you are standing in front of me. So if he is in front, everything automatically works out.”

“We have world-class openers. I do not wish to be promoted up the order. I am happy to bat in the middle order along. I am doing well and hence the team management has fixed that spot for me. It is always special to play along with Mahi bhai. I have been watching him since childhood. And now getting a chance to win the match alongside him, it is a dream. I think I am really lucky.”

With this terrific victory, India now lead the 5-match series 1-0.
