In the ongoing England vs West Indies 3rd Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham, Joe Root came out when West Indies’ Jayden Seales took Mark Wood’s wicket in the sixth over of England’s 1st batting innings.
At the time of writing this article Joe Root is not out at 42* runs in the ENG vs WI 3rd Test match making his run-tally 11,981 runs in 143 Tests and 261 innings. 19 more runs and he will become only the seventh player to cross the 12,000-run mark in the history of cricket. Currently, he stands at the seventh spot on the list of the most runs in Test cricket.
