England will look for a second straight win and try to seal the 3-match ODI series when they take on Ireland in the second One-day International (ODI) at The Rose Bowl in Southampton on Saturday.

England took a 1-0 lead in the series after thumping the Irish by six wickets in the first of the 3-match series played at the Rose Bowl.

England's win came on the back of a stellar spell of seam bowling by pacer David Willey who picked up a five wicket haul and broke the back of the Irish batting with match winning figures of 5 for 30.Set a rather easy target of 173 to win, England had some initial hiccups but Sam Billings (67) and skipper Eoin Morgan (36) got them back into the game with a breezy partnership and saw them home.

The visitors would like to come up with a much better show with the bat after a dismal outing in the series opener which saw them fold out for a paltry 172-run while batting first at the Rose Bowl.

Apart from Curtis Campher and Andy McBrine none of Irish batsmen could construct a meaninful innings in the middle, which ultimately led to a batting collapse.

Before the match, the hosts suffered a significant blow as opener Joe Denly was ruled out of the remainder of the series due to a back injury. He had missed the first match after suffering spasms in training on the eve of the match. The injured Denly will be replaced by Lancashire's Liam Livingstone in the squad.
