The left-handed batsman, who was snubbed from the central contract of BCCI, couldn't find his place back in the national side, has now revived his career with a bold statement.

The 26-year-old is playing for India C, and during the Duleep Trophy 2024 fixture against India B, he scored a magnificent ton and the wicketkeeper batsman merely needed 114 balls to attain the feat.

However, he was later dismissed by Mukesh Kumar for an individual score of 111 off 126 balls, which included 14 fours and 3 sixes.


India C Dominates Proceedings At Stumps, Day 1


It was an eventful day for Ruturaj Giakwad-led side, as India C finished the day at the score of 357/5. Powered by Ishan Kishan's magnificent ton, the player was complemented by vital knocks from Sai Sudarshan, Rajat Patidar, and Baba Indrajith, with the latter missing out on a century after departing for 78.






India C now have skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and Manav Suthar at the creaee, and the duo will start the proceedings on Day 2 at the ACA ADCA Ground in Anantpur.


For India B, Mukesh Kumar was the pick of the bowlers, as the right-arm pacer managed to scalp three wickets and all those wickets came at a decisive time for the side, as the match was slowly and gradually slipping away from them.
