The Jharkhand cricket icon got a rousing welcome from his fans on his arrival at the Ranchi airport, and their lovable star dint disappoint one bit as he obliged fans with selfies and autographs before driving back to home in a Jeep Grand Cherokee alongside wife Sakshi.
Before arriving at Ranchi, Dhoni was seen in Jaipur for an event. He was sporting a new look and wore a black bandana on the head. After the ICC World Cup, Dhoni has taken some time out from international cricket and has been enjoying some quality time with family.He gave the Windies T20I and ODIs a miss and was not picked by selectors for the T20 internationals against South Africa.
Recently, chief selector MSK Prasad had responded on Dhoni's retirement after social media was triggered with rumors. "No update on MS Dhoni's retirement, the news is incorrect," he said.
Earlier, it was said that Dhoni would travel with the team to guide the youngsters, but he won't feature in the playing XI. But he hasn't made himself available for selection yet.
The 38-year-old holds the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army unit of the Parachute Regiment (106 Para TA battalion). The honour was accorded to him by the Indian Army in 2011. Dhoni was given this honour along with Abhinav Bindra and Deepak Rao.
