India B clinched the premier List A trophy on the back of a well compiled half ton by Kedha Jadhav and four wicket haul by off spinner Shahbaz Nadeem. After setting an imposing 284-run target, India B restricted India C to 232 for 9 in 50 overs to win the grand finale.
Seamer Mohammed Siraj and offie Shahbaz Nadeem made early inroads into the India C batting lineup and reduced them to 64 for 3 in the run chase but Priyam Garg scored a fluent 74 off 77 balls to kept them in the hunt. A couple of needless run outs and Nadeem's stellar spell ensured any possibility to of a comeback by India B was derailed. Jalaj Saxena scored an unbeaten 37 but the knock went in vain.
Batting first, India B got off to a poor start with opener Ruturaj Gaikwad getting dismissed for a duck in the first over itself. They were in more trouble when skipper Parthiv Patel edged a delivery from Ishan Porel, only to see Dinesh Karthik diving full-stretch behind the stumps to his left to take a stunning one-handed catch.
At 92-4, Kedhar Jadhav and Vijay Shankar led a brilliant comeback to help the team post a challenging 283 total. 17-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal made a meaningfull contributed with 54 runs while Krishnappa Gowtham smashed 35 not out off 10 balls with the help of three fours and as many sixes to propel the team to a good score.
Nadeem finished with 4 for 32 from 10 overs while Siraj grabbed 2 for 43 and Roosh Kalaria managed a wicket as well.
