The tournament has witnessed several on-field banters and face-offs over the time and one such incident took place during Jamaica Tallawahs vs  Barbados Tridents match on Wednesday, in CPL 2020.

Pakistan cricket team's star batsman Asif Ali, who plays for  Jamaica Tallawahs will face disciplinary action after he nearly hit Windies star all-rounder Keemo Paul's face with his bat. It all happened in the 8th over of Tallawahs' innings when Paul dismissed Ali.

Asif Ali was caught out for just three runs while chasing a very low total of 108. Paul got really pumped up and didn't miss to give an animated send-off to Asif who was returning to the dressing room. Both, the bowler and the batsman got engaged in a verbal banter, after which Ali had an angry swish of his bat pointed towards Paul, nearly missing his face.

Despite Asif Ali falling for 3, Jamaica Tallawahs took just 18.8 overs to chase down the target. The heroes of the match were fiery all-rounder Andre Russell (23 from 20) and Nkrumah Bonner (30 from 32), who ensured their team wins the game comfortably.
