The Nepal Under-19 cricket team has been invited for an ODI series by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Reportedly, the series is expected to commence from September 9.


As per several media reports, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) will also be participating in the upcoming tournament. However, Nepal is still waiting for the fro the permission from the International Cricket Council (ICC) to go ahead with a confirmed participation in the tournament.


“It might take some days to decide over the participation in the series. Some of our U-19 players who are in the national team are just back from the Netherlands. After consulting with them we will decide,” Raman Siwakoti, Nepal Cricket team manager stated.


While Nepal will be facing NCA at the Jadavpur University grounds on September 9, India is slated to play against Afghanistan at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on the same day, as per scheduled by the BCCI.


Likewise, Afghanistan is scheduled to have a match with Nepal at the Jadavpur University grounds on September 16, the NCA team and the Indian U-19 team will face each other at the Eden Gardens on the same day.


While the top two sides will be competing for the trophy at the Eden Gardens on September 18, the other two teams will play off at Jadavpur University for the third and fourth position.
