Even as the position of the head coach still remains unoccupied, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for India Women's teams bowling and fielding coaches. While former India spinner Nooshin Al Khadeer did fill in as the team's interim coach during their series against Bangladesh last month, a full-time coach remains absent from the women's team setup.

As per the release shared by the Indian cricket board, whoever is chosen for the vacant positions in the support staff of the Indian women's team will hold them for a period of two years and will report directly to the head coach. It is mandatory for those applying for the role to have represented at the highest level or any other nation for that matter at the ultimate level in world cricket. If this criteria isn't met then they should have minimum NCA Level ‘B’ certified coach or a similar certification from a reputed organisation/Institute and at least 30 first-class games under his/her belt.

"Or, should have the experience of coaching an international team for a period of minimum 1 season or a T20 franchise / state team for a minimum of two seasons," BCCI's statement said.
