Indian cricketers Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer, who BCCI earlier axed from central contracts, have been reinstated in the national set-up, as the apex institution for cricket in India has announced its annual player retainership for the 2024-25 season on Monday, April 21, 2025.

There are 34 players included in the Central Contract set-up, which features the likes of Nitish Reddy & Varun Chakaravarthy, as India head into what promises to be an exciting season of cricket, which include Test series in England, followed by a white-ball tour of Australia.

India have won the past two ICC events (T20 World Cup 2024 and Champions Trophy 2025), and will be looking to add to their collection under the leadership of Rohit Sharma (ODI & Test) and Suryakumar Yadav (T20I).

India's next three big assignments are 2026 T20 World Cup, 2027 World Test Championship Final, and 2027 ODI World Cup.

4 players feature in the Grade A+ contract, as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja make a cut in the list.

Grade A contract features the likes of Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Mohammad Shami and Rishabh Pant.

The 'returning' Shreyas Iyer, who was the highest run-scorer for India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, founds himself in the Grade B contract.
