Star Indian cricketer Axar Patel tied the knot with his girlfriend Meha Patel on Thursday, January 26. While they had got engaged in January 2022, they had been dating for a while before that.
While Axar was busy with cricketing action almost throughout 2022, he opted to a take a leave from the New Zealand series citing family commitments which led to speculation over his wedding. The 29-year-old eventually tied the knot on Thursday, days after his India teammate KL Rahul also married his long time girlfriend Athia Shetty.
Videos and photos from Axar's wedding ceremony have now gone viral on social media. In one such clip which has found its way to social media, the cricketer can be seen dancing during the function. His dance moves has left the netizens impressed with him also including cricket in one of his steps.

Meanwhile, Axar will be back in action for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as he finds his name in the India squad for the first two Test matches. While the Indian selectors have not yet announced the squad for the remaining two Tests, he is also likely to be part of that squad. Apart from his skills as a left-arm spinner, Axar has also taken his batting up by a notch which has made him important to the team's balance.
It would be fair to say that the team hasn't missed the services of someone like Ravindra Jadeja in the side who made a comeback to competitive cricket in the recent Ranji Trophy match for Saurashtra against Tamil Nadu.
"I believe that whenever Axar Patel has been given opportunities and in whichever format, he has performed exceptionally well. It is a good thing. He has put pressure on Jadeja and you want that when you are playing for the Indian team you put pressure on whoever you are playing for," former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir said during a discussion on Star Sports.
"Axar Patel - whether it is T20 or Test cricket - he is putting pressure in every format and today you also got to see the range. I believe the more options you have is better for the Indian team and Axar as well," he added.
