The 14-man Australian squad will be led by skipper Aaron Finch. Australia is slated to face Sri Lanka and Pakistan in back-to-back three-matches T20 series, starting by the end of October 2019. Cricket Australia has scheduled this series keeping in mind next year's T20I World Cup that will be hosted by Australia.
While star seamers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins will lead the pace bowling attack, Leg-spinner Adam Zampa and left-arm tweaker Ashton Agar held their place in spin department. In-form senior spinner Nathan Lyon has been sidelined due to ankle injury, he sustained during Ashes 2019.

We have looked to put a squad together that we think can take us through to that tournament," cricket.com.au quoted national selector Trevor Hohns as saying in a statement.
