In the first T20I against Australia, West Indies batter Kyle Mayers smashed a terrific six at Carrara Oval, Queensland. He smacked a 104-meter six off Cameron Green. It was a short delivery from Cameron Green and Mayers punished him by hitting him over the cover region, depositing the ball into the second tier of the stands. Mayers was sent back to the pavilion by Pat Cummins after scoring 39 runs with the help of five fours and a six.
After a very long time, the Windies are playing T20Is in Australia and they are playing brilliantly. Mayers had a great Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2022 where he amassed 366 runs at a strike rate of 134.55. He also scalped eight wickets at a wholesome economy of 5.38.
After being invited to bat, the Windies reached 53/2 in just six overs. Hazlewood tricked Johnson Charles and Brandon King with the new ball. Post that, they scored only 15 runs in the next four overs.
Twitter went berserk after witnessing this monstrous hit by the Windies batter.
The West Indies will be playing two T20Is against Australia and then will directly be heading to the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
