Rohit Sharma has led the Indian cricket team in a few limited-overs series. However, this is the first time that he has been given the responsibilities in a major tournament like Asia Cup.

Before kickstarting their journey against Hong Kong on September 18 followed by the epic clash against Pakistan the very next day, the men-in-blue hit the nets under the floodlights. As the Indian coach, Ravi Shastri, and the rest of the support staff is yet to reach the venue, Dhoni took up the role of a mentor and guided the players.

Three days before the all-important clash, Dhoni looked proactive in the practice as he monitored each batsman closely at the nets. He watched them bat and wherever needed, he gave a right word of advice to them.

The veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman is one of the most shrewd brains of the team. His inputs from behind the wickets are going to play a crucial for both the bowlers and the skipper.

Talking about the onus on the stand-in skipper, Rohit has led India to victory in the Nidahas Trophy earlier this year. though he is expected to repeat the same performance here as well, it's yet to be seen how he comes out against arch-rival Pakistan.
