Alipore court has issued an arrest warrant against Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami and his brother Hasid Ahmed in connection with the domestic violence case filed by his estranged wife Hasin Jahan. The court has asked Shami to surrender within 15 days.

After having a great run in the recently concluded World Cup, Shami is currently playing the second Test against the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica.

In 2018, Shami's wife Hasin Jahan had accused him of domestic violence and extramarital affairs. Hasin Jahan also called the cricketer a ‘big flirt’. She also shared a series of photos, including screenshots of the fast bowler’s alleged chats with many women.

“Whatever I have posted is just the tip of the iceberg. Shami’s acts are far more heinous. I couldn't finish reading his chats in an entire night. He has relationships with multiple women in India as well as abroad,” Jahan had told exclusively to ABP News.

After being accused of domestic violence, Shami had dismissed the reports and said it was a conspiracy to ruin his game.

Shami's BCCI central contract was held as the pacer did not find a place in any of the categories (A+, A, B C) after this news spread.
