Even though Ajinkya Rahane did not manage to find a place in the India squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa, the right-handed batter has not lost hope and is busy working on his skills in a bid to regain his place in the side. A day after India lost the opening Test match of the series by a big margin of an innings and 32 runs at the SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium in Centurion, Rahane shared a video on his social media in which he can be seen practicing a flick shot to a fuller-length delivery.
The video was captioned: "No rest days." Soon after Rahane posted this clip on social media, it has gone viral with several fans pointing out the timing of the video. Fans reckon it is a message to the selectors and the team management that he is ready should he be given another chance to prove his merit following the failure of India's batting in both the innings in challenging conditions in South Africa.

Rahane Last Played A Test In West Indies
Rahane did make a comeback for the ICC World Test Championship final 2023 and was even part of the team that toured West Indies, however, he failed to make the cut for the South Africa Tests and his form hasn't been quite extraordinary either in the first class circuit. With age catching up on him at 35, the management went in with the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill in the Playing 11 with KL Rahul securing a place for himself as a wicketekeeper-batter. That meant no place for Rahane who will have to prove his mettle in the domestic cricket circles to try and get another go at Test match cricket.
