New Delhi: Indian Test opener Mayank Agarwal on Friday followed his captain and fellow mates footsteps by urging the citizens to remain indoor in accordance with the advisory issued by the health authorities to combat the deadly outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

Indian cricketer and sportsmen of international repute are doing their level best in their own ways to spread some valuable tips to citizens around the world for preventing the spread of the novel virus which has already seen over 2 lakh people getting affected by it.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, the 29-year-old wrote, “You could be a carrier of the virus and not show any symptoms whatsoever! So regardless of whether you feel well or not, stay at home as advised by our authorities.”

“Don’t panic, but be vigilant, be safe and we will overcome this, together,” he added.


Earlier in the day, Indian captain Virat Kohli also supported PM Modi's 'Janata Curfew' initiative and urged citizens to stay at home and maintain distance with as many people as possible. He shared a video with wife Anushka Sharma and wrote, “The need of the hour is to absolutely respect and follow the government’s directive. Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy.”
