On Tuesday, India won the second ODI against Sri Lanka. The Indian team, which won the first match by 7 wickets, defeated Sri Lanka by 3 wickets in the second ODI.  With this win, India have captured the three-match series 2-0.


Sri Lanka set a target of 276 runs, which India chased down in 49th over of the thrilling encounter and finally won the Ind vs SL 2nd ODI by 7 wickets. Tail-ender Deepak Chahar scored the most runs for India and played a very important role in powering his team to a series win. The speedster scored unbeaten 69 off 82 balls with 7 fours and 1 six.


Chahar shared an unbroken 84-run partnership for the eighth wicket with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who scored an unbeaten 28 off 28 balls with 2 fours. At one point in the match, the Indian team was struggling after losing 7 wickets at a total score of 193, and it seemed that Sri Lanka might level the series but these two players did not give up hope till the last and finally bagged a historical win for the national team.


Meanwhile, Sri Lankan cricket team's coach Mickey Arthur was left stunned when he saw his team make one mistake after another. He got so much fired up that he was seen cursing and venting out his anger, frustration at the local official.











Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Sri Lanka scored 269 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 50 overs.  Charit Aslanka (65) scored the most runs for the hosts. Chamika Karunaratne remained unbeaten on 44. For India, Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets each while Deepak Chahar took two wickets for India.
