CSK tweets for Ravindra Jadeja: The Indian cricket team suffered a huge setback on Friday after their first-choice all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 due to an injury in his right knee. Axar Patel, who was initially announced as a standby player for the tournament, has been named as Jadeja's replacement and will soon join the national squad in Dubai. Jadeja played a key role in India's five-wicket win over Pakistan in the tournament and was one of the key performers in India's match against Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings took to Twitter to share a heartfelt tweet for Ravindra Jadeja amid the rumors of him probably leaving the yellow army to move to another franchise.

"Speedy Recovery, Jadd! Come back stronger than ever! #AsiaCup2022 #WhistlePodu @imjadeja," CSK wrote on Twitter.

"The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Axar Patel as the replacement for Ravindra Jadeja in the ongoing Asia Cup. Ravindra Jadeja has sustained a right knee injury and is ruled out of the tournament. He is currently under the supervision of the BCCI medical team. His replacement, Axar Patel was earlier named as one of the standbys in the squad and will join the team in Dubai soon," BCCI said in a press release.

Last month, a report in Times of India stated that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Ravindra Jadeja's break-up was almost certain. As per the TOI report, there is no contact between the two ever since IPL 2022 and they are set to part ways. After coming back from the overseas tour, Jadeja went to the National Cricket Academy(NCA) in Bengaluru for rehab, but during this time he did not make any contact with the franchise.
