New Delhi: Ashton Agar hit a last ball six to take the Scorchers home against Melbourne Renegades in the most thrilling encounter of the sixth edition of Big Bash League so far.

With just 9 to defend, Renegades captain Aaron Finch took a bold decision to ball the last over and did a fine job until the last ball. It boiled down to 3 off 1 ball and Finch delivered a full toss in pursuit of a Yorker which was deposited out of the park by cool-headed Ashton Agar.

The Scorchers looked on course to knock off the target of 149 easily when Michael Klinger was going strong. But things changed rapidly as soon as Narine picked him for a well made 72.

Renegades scripted a remarkable comeback to force the match to the last ball led by Sunil Narine, who strangled one end up and picked up the all important of Klinger.

Earlier, Renegades clawed their way to 148 as wickets at regular intervals never really allowed them to aim for a big total.

Cameron White top scored with a 29 ball 37 and David Willey was the pick of the bowlers for Scorchers with figures of 2 for 15 in his 3 overs.
