New Delhi: Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar is unhappy with the Pakistan cricket team selected for the T20 World Cup 2021. Earlier this week, Pakistan had announced the squad for the Men's T20 World Cup. Pakistan did not include experienced players like Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Fakhar Zaman in their 15-member squad. Shoaib Akhtar has now launched a sharp attack on PCB Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim. All teams have the right to change their teams till 10 October.
“The Pakistan squad for T20 World Cup will be changed. Mohammad Wasim is not a chief selector, he is just a puppet,” said Akhtar to Cricket Pakistan.
“The Pakistan squad for T20 World Cup should include Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Shahnawaz Dahani, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Amir, Fakhar Zaman, and Hussain Talat,” he added.
T20 World Cup 2021 is to be played in UAE and Oman. The tournament will start from October 17.
Reacting to the sudden turn of events in Pakistan cricket, Akhtar had recently slammed both Misbah and Waqar for quitting from their respective roles ahead of the T20 World Cup.
