Melbourne: Former Australian skipper Adam Gilchrist, who was known for his destructive batting display, has rated offspinners Muttiah Muralitharan and Harbhajan Singh as the bowlers he struggled the most during his career.

Replying to the name of the bowlers he disliked facing the most during his career, the 44-year-old said that it would be a combination of Sri Lanka's Muralitharan and Indian bowler Harbhajan.

Gilchrist insisted that he was never able to read the deliveries from Muralitharan's finger movements, adding that the Sri Lankan bowler always made him feel like a 10-year-old, news.com.au reported.

Recalling his Test innings, Gilchrist said that he had gone at the crease with the mindset to sweep on Muralitharan's delivery, but added that he failed to counter the latter's attack and got dismissed on the second ball.

The former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman got dismissed by Muralitharan four times in six Test matches, while Harbhajan got him out seven times in the same format of the game
