Pellistri made his professional debut in 2019 with Peñarol. He went on to make his first goal in November 6th, 2019 in a 3–1 win against Cerro. Pellistri has been finally signed by Manchester United and was also under the Real Madrid’s radar.
At 18, Pellistri is highly regarded in the footballing circles. He isn’t considered to be a traditional winger rather a creative wide man. Pellistri is known to be a good passer and is tricky with the ball at his feet, averaging 7.86 dribbles per 90 with and an impressive success rate of 50 percent for Penarol last season.

Ex-Argentinian Juan Roman Riquelme seems to be an admirer of Pellistri and according to the Manchester United website he said, “He is young and talented.” Riquelme adds, “He hasn't played that much but you can see he is a real rascal with the ball at his feet. And that is important.
“There aren't many like him around, who have the courage to be so cheeky on the pitch. That is highly valuable.”
Pellistri still seems to have a presence of a teenager and will have to bulk up to meet the demands of a Premier League like Manchester United but he does seem to have a bright future ahead of him.
