New Delhi: The Netflix Documentary Series, Countdown: Inspiration4 Mission to Space, released in September, is a chronicle of SpaceX's Inspiration4, in which four civilians are set to create history by reaching Earth’s orbit.
The series talks about the lives of the four civilians, the intense training which they have undergone for the mission, and also features some interviews with SpaceX founder Elon Musk.
On Wednesday, September 15, Netflix will livestream the virtual party in which celebrities such as Karamo Karega Brown of ‘Queer Eye’ fame, award-winning journalist Soledad O'Brien, other actors and astronauts will be celebrating the launch of the Inspiration4 crew into space.
What time will the show start?
Spectators can watch the livestream on Netflix's official YouTube channel. This will be a 90-minute live show, and will start at 7 pm EDT, on Wednesday, September 15, or 4:30 am IST, on Thursday, September 16.
Celebrities to watch out for at Netflix Live Launch event
Former NASA astronauts such as Leland Melvin, Cady Coleman and Ron Garan will be a part of the virtual party. Time's editor-at-large Jeffrey Kluger will be reporting live from Kennedy Space Center.
Actors who appear in Netflix series such as ‘Lost in Space’, ‘Shadow and Bone’, ‘Another Life’, ‘The Baby-Sitters Club’, ‘Baking Impossible’, ‘Bling Empire’, ‘The Chair’, ‘The Circle’, ‘Family Reunion’, ‘Floor is Lava’, ‘Love Is Blind’, ‘My Unorthodox Life’, ‘Never Have I Ever’, ‘On My Block’ and ’To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ will also be part of the livestream.
Jared Isaacman, the founder and CEO of Shifts4 Payments; Hayley Arceneaux, paediatric cancer survivor; Christopher Sembroski, data engineer working at Lockheed Martin; and Dr Sian Proctor, a geoscientist and former NASA astronaut finalist, will blast off into space in SpaceX's Crew Dragon Resilience Spacecraft.
The Inspiration4 Mission is scheduled to launch no earlier than 8:02 pm EDT, on Wednesday, September 15, or 5:32 pm IST, on Thursday, September 16, from Launch Complex 39 A, Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral in Florida.
