Blue Origin has launched India's first civilian astronaut and second person to fly to space after Rakesh Sharma. Gopichand Thotakura has served as an international medical jet pilot. 

Blue Origin has launched India's first civilian astronaut and second person to fly to space after Rakesh Sharma. Gopichand Thotakura was launched to space on May 19, 2024, with five other crew members, at around 8:07 pm IST, as part of NS-25, Blue Origin's seventh human spaceflight mission, from Launch Site One in West Texas. Thotakura's fellow crew members are: Mason Angel, Sylvain Chiron, Ed Dwight, Ken Hess, and Carol Schaller. The mission lasted nearly 10 minutes. Blue Origin's human
