Cloud Seeding: What Is The Science Behind Artificial Rain? The Phenomenon Being Linked To Dubai Floods

Cloud seeding was performed for the first time in 1946. American chemist and meteorologist Vincent J Schaefer conducted this experiment. 

Experts are divided over whether the unprecedented rains in Dubai can be attributed to climate change or artificial rain, which occurs due to cloud seeding. Anthropogenic activities trigger climate change-related extreme weather events, and may have induced cloud seeding naturally.

Dubai is hit by floods because the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been receiving heavy rains since April 16.
