Dubai is hit by floods because the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been receiving heavy rains since April 16. The National Center of Meteorology, UAE, has described this as the largest amount of rainfall received by the country in the last 75 years. The Khatm Al Shakla area in Al Ain received 254.8 millimetres of precipitation in less than 24 hours.
