On November 13, the day after Diwali, the average PM2.5 level in Delhi was 395.9 micrograms per cubic metre, the highest among all the cities. On Diwali, Patna saw the highest average PM2.5 level.

The levels of PM2.5 (particulate matter with size less than 2.5 micrometres) post Diwali in nine capital cities of India are higher this year compared to 2022. On the morning of November 13, the day after Diwali, the average PM2.5 level in Delhi was the highest among 11 cities.
