Experts also suggest installing a Narmadeshwar Shivalinga, as it is naturally formed and regarded as highly auspicious. The ideal size for a home Shivalinga is said to be around the size of a thumb. Oversized Shivalingas are traditionally considered more appropriate for temples than private residences.
