Chhath Puja 2024: The grand festival of Chhath, a celebration of public faith, commenced today (November 5). The first day is dedicated to Nahay-Khay, where devotees take a ritual bath and prepare for the festivities. This year, the temperature during Chhath has shown a slight increase compared to last year, although it is gradually starting to decline.
According to the Patna Meteorological Department, clear weather is expected across all districts of Bihar throughout the four-day Chhath festival, with no chance of rain. However, some northern districts may experience a slight chill in the morning. Foggy conditions are anticipated across nearly all districts, while patches of mist may linger in some areas of the northeastern region.
The Meteorological Department has also announced the sunrise and sunset timings for Chhath in various districts of Bihar:

The weather department reported that the maximum temperatures across districts are currently recorded between 29 to 31 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperatures in southern Bihar range from 20 to 22 degrees Celsius, while in northern Bihar, they range from 19 to 21 degrees Celsius. A gradual decrease in temperature is expected over the next week.
