Tendulkar boosts women's team morale ahead of SA series

Three-match ODI series, will start at Kimberly on February 5, followed by a five-match T20 series, from February 13 at Potchefstroom.

Cricket icon also advised the players to avoid making minor mistakes.

Ahead of team’s departure, batting legend Sachin Tendulkar on Monday gave a pep talk to Indian women's cricket team.

The legendary batsman told the players to go with a positive frame of mind and advised them not to worry about the conditions there.

Tendulkar spoke to the members of the team captained by Mithali Raj, for over an hour, at the Mumbai Cricket Association's Bandra Kurla complex.

The women’s team is also scheduled to play a three-match ODI and five-match T20 series next month.

India men’s cricket team is currently in South Africa to play 3 Tests, 6 ODI’s and a 3 T20I series.
