As per the IMD forecast, there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall in the Konkan districts of Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Palghar on June 9, 10 and 11.

View In AppReports say three teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are stationed at Parel, Mankhurd (for assistance in eastern suburbs) and Andheri Sports Complex (for western suburbs). Navy personnel will be deployed in Colaba, Worli, Ghatkopar, Trombay and Malad for flood rescue. Six Flood Rescue Teams of Mumbai Fire Brigade will be posted at the Regional Command Centres.
The city witnessed heavy rains on Thurday resulting in water-logged streets and late running suburban trains.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has adopted a number of precautionary measures and is on alert mode.
However, most people have opted to remain at their homes keeping the weekend forecast in mind.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has again alerted residents about the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall in Mumbai and parts of Maharashtra during next two-three days.
Monsoon has arrived in Mumbai and the city has received intermittent rain and thundershowers since early morning.
