Chennai: AIADMK Cadre Led By EPS Detained For Staging Hunger Strike Without Police Permission

On Wednesday, AIADMK members led by AIADMK interim general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami gathered at Valluvar Kottam to stage a hunger strike against murder of democracy and Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker Appavu allotting deputy Leader of Opposition seat to OPS

The AIADMK leaders gathered at the site even after police refused to provide permission for the protest

The AIADMK leaders including Edappadi Palaniswami, SP Velumani, Sengottaiyan and SP Velumani dressed in black took to a sit-in protest

The AIADMK leaders got into an argument with the police.

As a result, all the members were detained from Valluvar Kottam

The detained members were then taken to Rajarathinam Stadium in Egmore
