Assam Welcomes PM Modi As He Unveils Projects Worth Rs 11,600 Crore — In Pics

PM Modi received a rousing welcome from people in Khanapara in Assam as he unveiled a host of projects on his two-day visit to the state.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria among others welcomed PM Modi in Assam.

PM Modi called it a significant day for Assam's growth journey as he unveiled projects worth Rs 11,600 crore in the state.

The projects include the Kamakhya Temple Corridor, a six-lane road in Guwahati, Nehru Stadium upgradation as per FIFA standards, Guwahati Medical College and Hospital, and Unity Mall, among many others.

Over 1,50,000 people were eagerly waiting in Guwahati for PM Modi to arrive at the venue to lay foundation stone for the projects.

Supporters were seen rejoicing and chanting PM Modi's name on the big day.
