The folk cultures of Kullu and Manali began to be highlighted in the carnival as the years went by. Soon, songs, dance, and cuisine took centre stage at the carnival. On the festival's first cultural evening, Manu Rangshala was jam-packed with vibrant cultural performances. The police band, “Harmony of Pines”, stole the show. The crowd was thoroughly pleased by the Voice of Carnival participants, who travelled from all around the state along with folk artists.
