Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) stage protest at the Hire Bagewadi toll gate after police denied them to permit entry into Belagavi.

KRV Activists hurled stones at a truck that has Maharashtra registration and forced the driver to stop the vehicle.

Over 400 KRV activists travelled from Dharwad to Belagavi on nearly 100 vehicles to stage protests amid ongoing Maharashtra-Karnataka border issue.

Police Belagavi police detained KRV President TA Narayana Gowda and other activists.

After the police halted the activists entry, irked KRV activists began protests and blocked vehicular movement on national highway.

Earlier on Tuesday, over 1,000 police personnel deployed at 21 border check posts and villages.
