Diljit Dosanjh Shares Met Gala Moments, Spills on Shakira’s Last-Minute Wardrobe Mishap

Diljit Dosanjh shared a behind-the-scenes video of his Met Gala 2024 experience, showing his journey from hotel workouts to red carpet prep.

The video revealed a wardrobe emergency involving Shakira, whose broken zipper delayed their joint appearance.

Diljit joked about the situation, saying, "Shakira ki emergency ki wajah se sada kaam suffer hogaya... Hips don’t lie and she doesn’t lie."

He was all set to walk the red carpet, but his exit was delayed due to Shakira's fashion mishap.

Diljit mentioned that he was proud to represent Punjab globally, saying he aimed to bring Punjabi culture to the Met Gala.

He humorously said, "We would have won if this was a fancy dress competition," while trying on his traditional outfit.

When asked about other celebs, Diljit confidently said, "Don’t take me wrong but I am excited that everybody will be looking at me."

Diljit made his Met Gala debut this year, wearing a Maharaja Bhupinder Singh-inspired look by designer Prabal Gurung.

His ivory sherwani, turban, and jewellery—including a ceremonial sword and cape featuring the map of Punjab—earned him Best Dressed in a Vogue poll, surpassing icons like Zendaya and Rihanna.
