For now, India is looking to increase the count to 20 per cent with a hybrid powertrain which includes electric, petrol and ethanol, the emissions are lower. Toyota also says that there is no change in performance too while costs reduce along with being cleaner. With a higher blending of ethanol, India's oil bill will go down and alongside regular petrol/ethanol blends, a hybrid powertrain would also be there with Toyota expected to bring in a flex-fuel Innova Hycross. While sedans of this class have disappeared, the Corolla brand name remains strong although Toyota does not have plans to bring the Corolla back or bring a flex-fuel version.
