New Delhi: While bulldozers are more in news these days for their use in demolition drives in some states, a groom in Madhya Pradesh preferred it over any car or horse for his marriage procession. According to a report by news agency PTI, the groom, Ankush Jaiswal, accompanied by two other family members, went to his wedding in Jhallar village under Bhainsdehi tehsil of Betul district on Wednesday. The photos and video of the wedding procession went viral on the social media.
According to the report, Jaiswal, a civil engineer by profession, said that he has been working with construction-related machines, including bulldozers, every day as part of his job.
"Therefore, a thought came to my mind that I should use such equipment as part of my wedding to make it a memorable event,” PTI quoted Jaiswal as saying.
He added that the loader bucket of the bulldozer was decorated appropriately for the occasion.
"I sat comfortably on it during the marriage procession," Jaiswal said.
In a similar incident a few days back, a groom from Uttar Pradesh's Shrawasti rode a bulldozer instead a car to reach his marriage venue in Bahraich.
Reacting to the incident, BJP MLA from Bahraich Anupama Jaiswal said, "Bulldozer has become a symbol of good governance for every community in the state. Bulldozers only instil fear in criminals. Common peaceful people consider it a symbol of good governance."
“Its inclusion in the marriage procession of a Muslim family is an example of popularity of the Yogi government in all communities,” she added.
