New Delhi: Anand Mahindra is known for being an avid Twitter user and sharing inspirational pictures for his social media family to engage with. On Monday, when Mahindra shared a picture of a tea stall on his profile to motivate people, it rather backfired on him. He, was trolled for using a morphed picture.

The picture shared by Mr Mahindra featured a tea stall which was named after the ‘Oberoi Hotel’. The stall also had a special note which read, “Note: We don't have a branch in Delhi.” Sharing the picture, Mahindra wrote, “Dream big” and added the hashtag Monday Motivation.

But rather than motivating people, Mahindra’s post ensured a good laugh. Many Twitter users pointed out that the picture was photoshopped. Several people took to the comments section to make sure that Mahindra knows that the picture was not the original one, while some wondered how he manages to come up with “humorous pictures” every week.

According to NDTV, the original picture is credited to a blog written about Udaipur. This blog was first posted in 2015 and shows the tea stall in Mahindra’s picture. Its original name is ‘Bhairunath Tea Stall’. According to the blog, the tea stall serves nice refreshing tea and should be on one’s Udaipur bucket list.

In the picture which was shared by Mr Mahindra, the name “Bhairunath” has been replaced by “Oberoi Hotel” and the witty “no branches” disclaimer replaced the original text, which said, "Bhairunath tea stall, nashta centre."
