A family in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district is heartbroken after their pet parrot named Mitthu went missing on Tuesday. The family members have been frantically searching for the missing parrot. They have also up posters across the town, offering Rs 10,000 cash prize to anyone who finds their beloved parrot or gives them its whereabouts. Yes, you heard that right. Deepak Soni one of the family members is adopting all possible to fingd Mitthu.


Soni has also hired autorickshaws to make announcement in the city about the missing parrot.


"The parrot is missing since last night, it was loved by my entire family. My father took it out yesterday and it flew away. I am worried because the parrot is not able to fly properly," Soni said, while speaking to the media.


Making an appeal to help locate the parrot Soni further said, "It flew away last week too and came back on its own. But this time, we haven't seen him at all,"


According to NDTV, the parrot that has parrot a curved beak and brightly-coloured feathers is a native to India and has been living with Soni's family for two years.


"I think it's hiding somewhere. The parrot flew because some stray dogs barked at it. All of us are upset, we have been looking for the bird since 2am. I am requesting anyone who finds it to call us on the numbers mentioned on the poster and we will pay Rs 10,000 cash prize," said Soni's friend Prahsant Sharma, as reported by the media outlet.
