Two Indians, Dr Ali Irani and Sujoy Kumar Mitra created Guinness World Records for travelling all the 7 continents in the shortest time. They completed the travel to Antarctica, South America, Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Oceania in 3 days 1 hour 5 minutes and 4 seconds, according to the Guinness World Records.
Both the travellers started their epic journey on December 4, 2022 in Antarctica, and finished it in Melbourne, Australia, on December 7, 2022.
Sujoy and Dr Ali love travelling and believe that records are made to be broken.
"Today we might be successful in breaking a record, but tomorrow someone else will break our record," the duo was quoted as saying by the record keeping company.
The achievement was also shared by Dr Irani on his Instagram profile.
"Congratulations for those dedicated efforts!" wrote one user on seeing his post of the world record.
Congratulating the duo another wrote, "Best news of 2023".
Dr Irani who is a well known name in the fiedd of physiotherapy had been associated with the Indian cricket team as a physiotherapist for a long time.
The record for fastest travel across seven continents was earlier held by Dr Khawla AlRomaithi of UAE. He had achieved the feat in 3 days 14 hours 46 min 48 seconds.
