Generally, when we hear about a restaurant or a shop being inaugurated, the first picture that comes to our mind is of a politician, celebrity or an eminent personality gracing the occasion as chief guest. But have you heard of a cow inaugurating a restaurant? Yes, you heard that right. A cow was made the guest of honour and was invited to inaugurate Lucknow's first organic restaurant, reported news agency ANI.

Named 'Organic Oasis' the restaurant is owned by former Deputy SP Shailendra Singh and offers food made out of organic farming produce.

In the video shared by the news agency, a cow adorned in a vibrant yellow attire and decorated with garments is seen inside the restaurant as people hug and feed it. The cow was also taken to the gates of the kitchen. One can also see the restaurant workers wearing the ‘Organic Oasis' T-Shirts in the clip.

"Our agriculture and economy are dependent on cows, so we had our restaurant inaugurated by Gaumata," said the owner of the restaurant Shailendra Singh.

Singh, while speaking to ANI also said that the idea of the restaurant came for people's urge to have nutritious, chemical-free foods.

"People now feel that a healthy body should be their first priority. Unfortunately, you get food of produce on which chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used. I think this will be the first such restaurant in India that will have its own production, control, and processing. After having the food, they will be able to feel the difference and demand for it."

Organic food does not have pesticides and other harmful chemicals, which makes it the first choice of people these days despite being a little costly.
