In a bizarre incident, a class 12 student in Bihar fainted at the examination centre after seeing that the class was filled with girls and he was the only boy there. The student identified as Mani Shankar studies at Allama Iqbal College in Bihar Sharif in Nalanda district. He had gone to take an intermediate examination at Brilliant School and "fainted out of nervousness" when he realised he was amidst 500 girls, the boy's aunt said to news agency ANI.
Shankar was so nervous that he developed fever and had to be hospitalised. "He went to the examination centre and saw that the room was full of girls, he became nervous and developed a fever, and he fainted," the aunt told ANI.
The student has been admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment and is currently stable, reported the news agency.
Meanwhile, a video of Shankar's aunt giving an interview at the hospital has also surfaced on the internet. In the clip the lady is seated beside his nephew in the hospital and explains why the boy fell unconscious. She also revealed that the boy fractured his hand after he fainted at the examination centre.
The incident has has garnered the attention of many social media users.
"Agar 500 ladko ke beech 1 ladki ko bitha de tho ? Ladke ke sath sympathy hai," wrote on user.
"zayada khushi bhi katarnaak hai," wrote another user.
"Mazak ki baat nahi. Mein bhi behosh ho jata !!" wrote a fourth.
