American E-Commerce Platform Is Selling 'Charpai' For Over Rs 1 Lakh

While shopping online there are occasions when people come across exorbitantly priced items. But have you heard of a 'charpai' being sold for over Rs 1 lakh. Yes, you heard that right. An American e-commerce company Etsy has listed the traditional Indian charpai or khatiya, which one can buy easily under Rs 10,000 has been priced at a whopping Rs 112,168.

The portal has listed charpai as a "traditional Indian bed with very beautiful decor." The description of the product says it is a handmade product made with materials like wood and jute ropes and dispatched by a small business in India. The dimensions of the charpai and the detail of the material used is also mentioned in the description of the item.

The Charpai's dimensions are as follows: a width of 36 inches, a height of 72 inches, and a depth of 18 inches.

While a vibrant-coloured charpai bed set with stools was also being sold for Rs 1,44,304. That's not all there were more such charpais on sale with details of the product's and the price. Some were, however, priced a little lower.
