New Delhi: A chaos was created among people at Moscow airport when it was found that a passenger was carrying 20 live snakes in his cabin bag.


Although, the name and nationality of the person has not been disclosed, reports have it that the man was travelling from Germany to Russia. However, any accident did not take place on-board during the journey.

The passenger easily boarded the flight without any hindrance at the German airport and nobody got to know a thing about what he was carrying in his hand baggage.

However, after descending the flight at Moscow Airport some officials of Environment Protection Agency suspected something unusual in the man’s bag and found the snakes packed in the bag.

The reptiles were in canisters, packed in bags, carried in hand luggage. The man said that he bought the snakes from a market in Germany and claimed that they were not venomous.  There were no documents provided for the reptiles.

The reptile will be inspected by experts..As per reports, the German authorities said that the snakes were not discovered during the security check process at the German airport.

Though it is not illegal to carry planes in flight, a permission by the concerned authorities is required for carrying reptiles onboard.
